Not sure what you are doing to choose the method of receiving your refund. You are supposed to do that in step 2 of of the FILE section in your TurboTax return.
You have to go to Step 2 in the FILE section.

You cannot change banking information while your return is in pending, nor can you change it after the return is accepted. The IRS does not allow it.
