When I check my refund status, I get the notification that I may need to verify my return. They ask if I received a letter with a control number but I did not. Help?

Yes, sometimes you get a letter from the IRS asking you for verification.

 

However, sometimes they are able to verify it themselves, which may be why you didn't get a letter.  Is your current address the same as the address on your return? 

 

Unfortunately, we at TurboTax have no way of knowing what the IRS is doing.

 

Keep checking your Refund Status, or try to call them again.  

 

 

Thanks. My address is still the same but I did switch banks. When I went on to verify it asks if I received a letter or if I had not (they would send a new one if I clicked no). I clicked no.
