What to do with Form W-3c? My employer made a mistake on my W2 and sent me a W-3C form. They [my employer] said that I need to submit both forms [the original W2 and W-3c]. How do I do this?

If your employer has not e-filed these documents with the SSA, you must return form W-3C and your employer must mail these along with Copy A of W-2C to:

Social Security Administration
Direct Operations Center
P.O. Box 3333
Wilkes-Barre, PA 18767-3333

Form W-2C only reflects any corrections to your original form W2. Form W-2C is not a replacement to your original W2 because it will only contain corrected information. You will need to enter information from both forms to prepare your Tax Return.

If you have already filed your Tax Return with the IRS you must amend that return with Form 1040X to include the corrected information. If you need to amend your return please follow the steps in the FAQ below:
