Here's info on using a pre-existing prepaid debit card to receive a direct deposit of a tax refund:
First, make sure your pre-existing prepaid debit card is still valid and
active. Then get your card's underlying bank account and routing
numbers specific for your card. Either contact your card's Customer Service, or log into your
online card account to verify the card is still good and to get the
banking numbers. Be sure you have the right bank account and routing numbers for your card. They
will differ from the card number shown on the card. Do not use the account number on the card.
Ask your card's Customer Service if they accept a direct deposit of tax refunds from the IRS. Some prepaid debit cards might not, or may have limits on the amount that can be deposited from a tax refund. You can ask your card's Customer Service about that, or perhaps there is information on that topic in the FAQs on your card's website.
When the TurboTax program asks you how you want to get your Federal refund, choose "direct deposit". You will enter the bank account and routing numbers specific to your card, and indicate that it is a "checking" account.
You'll also need to know and enter the name of the underlying bank that the routing and account numbers were for. Ask your Card's Customer Service or check the FAQs on their website. What exactly are you trying to do? How do you wish to receive your Federal refund?
Are you trying to choose direct deposit to a prepaid debit card, or are you wanting to direct deposit into a checking account at your bank?
I can tell you in general how to set up a direct deposit of a tax refund to a prepaid debit card. If you need more info, you will need to call your Rush Card customer service or read any FAQs they have on their website for tax refunds. Watch for my answer below.
You do NOT use the number shown on the card. The card has an underlying bank account and routing number. See the details below.

@adonisriley2019 Return to your post and scroll up to read the very helpful answer already given in this thread by SuperUser mesquitebean. You need to have the correct routing and account number to have your refund deposited to your card.
Your routing number for direct deposit will always be 9 digits and begin with a 0, 1, 2 or 3.
Look in the bottom left corner of your check (not the deposit slip). When you enter your routing number, just enter the 9 digits. Don't include any spaces, punctuation, or other characters that appear before the 9-digit number.
If your check displays an ACH number (this is uncommon), use that instead of the routing number.
You can also contact your financial institution or visit their website for the routing number. If they have multiple routing numbers to choose from, get the electronic direct deposit routing number.

I use the wrong account number on the front of my rushcard for direct depos for my refund, [PII Removed], this the right number: [PII Removed], is it to late to make that change.
I used the 16 digits on the front of my card for account number for my refund check instead of my deposit I’d will I still receive my refund I have rush card
If you entered the incorrect direct deposit information for your prepaid card, your refund will get rejected by the financial institution. In this case, the government will mail you a paper refund check. Refer to the following TurboTax FAQ for more information: What if I entered the wrong bank account for direct deposit?
@Willi33 Can you add clarification so I can better assist you? Is this something you're seeing in your TurboTax account?
