What if sex of dependent is written wrong on federal taxes

If you haven't yet submitted your taxes, you can go back and make the correction in the Personal Info tab of your program.

If you have already submitted your taxes, as long as the child is listed with a correct social security number, you should have no problem.  I would not worry about amending or anything like that.

If the IRS and State accepted your return, you shouldn't worry about it. You don't need to amend your return.
