IF your file goes thru normally, I suspect it should be delivered to you by then.
...but if it isn't, there is a form 8822 to send to the IRS to inform them of your new address.
Sometimes army families wont have an address for months when we move we wont see our furniture or any mail for as long as we are on a waitlist for housing. Once we were wait listed for 3 months. Will this matter?
Sure...that can be a problem no matter who you are. That's why some people direct their refunds to a bank account....but of course then it helps to establish your banking at a wide-spread well known nation-wide bank.
What you could do, if you trust them, is use the form 8822 to direct the refund to a parent's address (it sends any IRS communication s to that address). Then they can send it to you. And you can re-do the 8822 4-6months later (should do it even if you already have the refund...to make totally sure the IRS knows where you've settled in).
