W-2 lost, substitution

Hi there, during the course of me filling out my form i filled out the special case as i lost my w-2. however i know usually you staple your w-2 to your state tax application when sending it off. do i need to put anything with mine? thanks

No, you don't have to staple anything since you don't actually have the original W-2.  If your substitute form is somehow incorrectly filled out, the federal and state taxing authority will adjust the amount based on their information and will send you correspondence why the amount is adjusted.
