According to the IRS FAQs, the Get My Payment application will return "Payment Status Not Available" for several reasons, including:

  • You are required to file a tax return, but:
    • We haven't finished processing your 2019 return
    • The application doesn't yet have your data; we’re working on adding more data to allow more people to use it.
  • You don't usually file a return, and:
    • You used Non-Filers: Enter Payment Info Here but we haven’t processed your entry yet
    • You receive an SSA or RRB Form 1099 or SSI or VA benefits; information has not been loaded onto our systems yet for people who don’t normally file a tax return.
  • You’re not eligible for a payment (see Eligibility).

They update Get My Payment data once per day, overnight, so there is no need to check more often. If you are eligible for a payment and have provided your information either through a recent tax return or the Non-Filers: Enter Payment Info Here application, please check back for updates.

I filed my 2019 taxes last year and they told me that I did not receive my Stimlus payment due to the fact my identity had to be verified then I was told by a IRD representative that I was to receive my Stimlus payment in the form of a check in 9 weeks if I did not receive it in 9 weeks to file it on line 30 as a recovery rebate with my 2020 taxes I did just that on 2/16/2021 and it still states on the IRS where’s my refund that they have no information available isn’t this exact issue the purpose of my purchasing the Max $45 TurboTax aids me on any set backs however every time I call TurboTax I’m directed to IRS an IRS directs me right back to TurboTax

Upon contacting TurboTax I was told two different stories by two different representatives that if I owe back taxes NOT child support. Back taxes it what I owe am I still eligible for my Stimlus payment

This IRS FAQ states:

Will my second Economic Impact Payment be offset if I owe a federal tax liability, have a payment agreement with the IRS, or owe other federal debts?

No

Will my second Economic Impact Payment be offset if my spouse or I owe past-due child support?

No.

Will the IRS levy on the second Economic Impact Payment deposited into my bank or other account?

No, unless there is an exigent circumstance.  If you think the IRS inadvertently served a levy on an account into which your Economic Impact Payment was deposited, contact the IRS within 21 days at the phone number listed on the levy notice to let the IRS know that it has levied on your Economic Impact Payment.

We do not know whether these issues will change under the American Rescue Plan.  The bill is expected to be signed by the President soon.
