Used my credit karma spend account for direct deposit of my tax refund not knowing that it was closed

I have used this account for 2 years in a row so that I can get the advance. Literally found out right after I submitted my taxes that this account was closed. I’ve went through a few threads on here looking for advice on what happens next and I’m getting some people saying the credit karma will automatically reject it and the funds will be sent back to the IRS who will issue a paper check. And some people are saying the funds were deposited into their “closed” account anyways and they had to call Green Dot or MVB bank to have them issue a check. Any help?

…and they direct me to contact you guys. So if you can’t help, and they can’t help, who can?

Some users have reported their Refund was deposited into their closed account, or into their Save account at Credit Karma.

Others have said they got a check from the IRS.

It seems CK would have a policy on this that they could share with you.
