Upgrading from the Deluxe desktop CD/Download edition to the Premier desktop edition would be an additional $35 when the upgrade is purchased from TurboTax. The credit would not be applied.
The TurboTax desktop CD/Download editions all include the same forms, schedules and worksheets regardless of which desktop edition you use. You only receive more help using the higher priced desktop editions.

What do you mean more help? I don't need anymore help except I need to be able to have the software download my investments from my broker to the tax form. Will TurboTax Deluxe do that?
@Falconi1 In this case the credit may apply if you are using the license code you received and used when installing the TurboTax software.
If you do not see the credit being applied then contact TurboTax support for assistance.

Yes it looks like the $10 credit can be used to upgrade. But you should be able to import your investments into Deluxe. All the Desktop programs have the same forms, you just get more help in the higher versions.
