TurboTax shows my refund was estimated by April 3rd but I never received my refund.

I’m worried about receiving my tax refund. I can’t call the IRS right now or get anymore information from them besides my info saying it’s still processing. I don’t know if they are delayed in processing or not since I cannot reach out. (My refund was for Direct Deposit.)

I filed on March 13 and it says it was accepted on that date in TurboTax. The only tax credit I received was an educational one. What can I do if I end up not receiving it? I’m a graduate student and my tax refunds are honestly vital. I’m worried.

The TurboTax date to receive a federal tax refund are estimates only based on the IRS target of issuing a refund within 21 days after accepting the tax return.  That is Not a guarantee.

If accepted by the IRS use the federal tax refund website to check the refund status - https://www.irs.gov/refunds

After the tax return has been Accepted by the IRS (meaning only that they received the return) it will be in the Processing mode until the tax refund has been Approved and then an Issue Date will be available on the IRS website.

I’m fully aware of the difference between what an estimation and gusrantee are.
