I’m getting my turbo tax charge deducted from my refund. However, it’s been two months, I still haven’t gotten my refund, and now Turbo Tax is going to take it directly from my account. Why would this company take it from my account when I asked it to be deducted from my tax refund? Which I still have not had deposited AND there is NO INFORMATION regarding the status of my efile! Pretty sure Turbo Tax is making me pay them for messing up my refund. No idea how to go about this.
Was your return accepted? If it was, the processing of your tax return has nothing to due with TurboTax. The IRS is the one delaying the processing of your return & refund. It is taking the IRS longer to process returns since they are closed. They are still processing e-filed returns but the 21 days (business days) is not the standard now due to Covid-19. The IRS is not processing mailed in returns at this time.
All you can do now is keep checking the IRS website, Where's My Refund, the website updates once a day.

Same is happening to me but I am not receiving a "mail return". Mine is all electorinc and I filed and was "accepted" over two months ago.
It had everything to do with turbo tax because my payment to them was automatically deducted from my return. If I have to wait for my return then turbo tax should have to wait for their payment. If I got a letter in the mail stating I now "owe" money to the irs turbo tax messed up even tho my return was "accepted" therefore I shouldn't have to owe trubotax.
This is happenig to me in 2021 and im still in processing. If i haven't received my payment why should they get theirs makes no sense at all. Ughhh and i have yet to receive any stimulus packages. Im also a mother of two and i was approved 2/14/2021 through turbo tax and nothing then get this email today.
The fact that they don't stand by their work and agree to get paid when you do is because they know they arnt that good or that half their business comes from dangling "potential" money in front of your face just to get you to sign. Then leave you worse off when you don't get approved. There's gotta be accountability...
Same here. Chose Direct deposit. Accepted 2/16. Got an email yesterday they’ll be deducting from my bank account.

Sounds like the IRS is taking too long to send your refund or reduced it. See What if the IRS reduces your refund or delays it.

Then when the IRS does send your refund they won't take the fees out again.

You should have received about 4 emails asking for the fees. If you don't pay they will debit your account. You had to agree to it.
Never once in this whole process did the irs have any info on my returns. And no, I've already gotten a letter in the mail from the irs saying I owe taxes so TT is full of it.
I made enough for it to be covered just still havent received my taxes or anything which is the problem i cant even pay their fees without this money.

Pika don't bother calling. It's automated and leads you to nothing that can actually help in our situation.
I have enough to cover it in my taxes 4k but really if i aint got my money why should turbotax. Its mind blowing how disrespected i feel getting that as an email stating i have to pay for a service that never served me.
Luckily I got a deal and got free turbo tax upgrade, but same here on no Stimulus & no tax return. I've got a whole IRS tax advocate case worker n case number too and nothings changed, nothings been done, gov owes me 3300 now and I'm sitting here homeless while they **bleep** around and do nothing about it.
Kids and i have been homeless while i was working a job then their school had to quarantine them and i had to miss work and got fired and unemployment keeps denying me yet my old job keeps telling them to approve me but they didnt so im sitting here looking stupid while people that can afford to live are getting their taxes
That's great they do that because the return won't be deposited into an account that's negative so now turbo tax and me are going to wait a lot longer for their money because now I'm closing my account so they can't get their money and now I'm not going to be able to get direct deposit and will have to wait for a mailed one they wanna **bleep** me well 2 can play

i filed mines either the 2nd or 3rd of feb and mines was accepted on the 17th and every time i go to the irs website they have no information on me why is that
