Today I received a check from Oregon Dept. of Revenue for $334.00; what do with this Refund? TurboTax advised me that taxes of $145 were due with the 2017 tax return?

There appears to be a difference between how TurboTax and the State of Oregon calculate taxable income i.e, ($2,100 @ 9%=$189.00 + $145 refund. Why or How, I don't know.

Is it possible that the difference is the kicker?

If your AGI was between $85,500 and $172,500, your kicker amount would be 5.6%.
