This year (TY 2016) TurboTax did not generate the required business tax return for Portland/Multnomah County (Oregon): SP-2016. Is this an oversight? Will this service be provided for tax year 2016, it was in previous years?

The tax form that you're looking for (Portland /  Multnomah County Oregon Business Tax) is actually available as part of the TurboTax 2016 Oregon module, along with the Tri-Met tax form, the Lane County LTD form, and the Portland Arts Tax form.

However, in order to complete any of these, the TurboTax user first has to "activate" them by going through the Oregon module interview.  In fact, there's a special place titled "Other Forms -> Additional Forms" where you need to check, or select, a box in order to add the specific Oregon local tax form(s) you want.

This process is explained (and some screen-capture images provided) in an answer recently given to another self-employed taxpayer, also operating in the Portland, Oregon area.  I believe that the information found there, in that AnswerXchange post, will tell you what you need to know in order to get started with your PDX / Mult. County Form SP.

Also, there is a link provided there (at the other post) for reaching customer telephone support, should you need additional help in locating the SP form (but we promise that it is included as part of the TurboTax Oregon module).

These very important forms are lost under "Other Forms". The forms are not optional and really need their own section.  I know TurboTax needs to service all states - but putting this under extensions and amendments is an easy way to miss the forms.  A special callout to Portland, Tri-county (Clackamas, Washington & Multnomah), and Lane County residents would be helpful.
