The state of Virginia states I can not claim a tax exempt status while deployed 365 Days overseas and has requested amendment and reduced my state refund to $0.

What is the next step. I need assistance.

Resubmit your VA state tax return with the "Amended Return" box checked and the applicable code.

Do not request tax-exempt status.
