The State of New York indicated me by mail my direct deposit information were wrong, so they sent me a check. What happens about my Federal refund in that case?

If the Federal refund is rejected by the bank, or the banking information is incorrect, the IRS will issue the refund as a paper check and mail it to the address they have on file for you (the mailing address you reported on your tax return).
