The irs has approved my tax return but turbo tax has know updates about it! Why?

The irs app isn’t saying I’m getting the same amount refund as turbo tax told me! Why?

Once the IRS has accepted an efile and starts processing your return, TurboTax doesn't receive any further feedback from the IRS.   You have to go by the IRS "Where's My Refund" tool to find out when your refund is approved and the funds sent out.

 

I see in another later thread you said that your refund has been sent.   Did you choose to pay any TurboTax fees out of your Federal refund?   If so, your refund takes a different path.  See the info I left you in the other thread at this link:

Your Federal refund amount that you submitted is on your Form 1040, Line 21a.    That is the figure prior to any fees (if you chose to pay the fees out of the refund.)

 

If you also have a state refund, they come separately.  So don't go by any total refund amount provided by TurboTax that adds the 2 refunds.   Consider the 2 refunds individually.
