If you did not specify a date to take the funds from your account the default date is April 18th. The IRS may not even deduct the funds then because of them being so busy this time of year. It is OK, as long as you have filed and entered your payment information by or before the filing date (April 18, 2016) there is no penalty or interest.
To verify the date that Federal funds will be withdrawn from your account, confirm that funds have been transferred, or cancel the transaction up to 48 hours before the date you designated the funds to be debited, call the IRS at 1 (888) 353-4537.

This answer does not answer the question. It only gives info if you filed before April 18 but what about after ,,, you leave that out.
It should not matter how late I was i had tax service file for me and they said they would debit my bank account on Monday well its monday night. Yes its for 2016 , Yes its late, Should not effect them to take the money. I own them money why they not take. If that is all it is then why pay taxes if there not going to take payment.
I used the highly recommended Hanson Consulting to file for me and they know my case .
If they don't want the money i will move it into a Burmese citizen of Myanmar bank account then they wont get any funds. I am trying to play ball there way but if they don't want my money i will move it off shore.
It could take several days for it to post to your bank account.
If you chose the direct debit option, the IRS may take its own sweet time on a debit, and takes it at their convenience, especially during a busy deadline filing week. If you still don't see the debit 7-10 days after your return has been accepted, you can call the IRS e-file Payment Services at 1-888-353-4537 to inquire about it.

The answer in blue above does answer the original threadowner's question. The question was posted on April 18, 2016, about 18 months ago. The threadowner was not asking about October extended filing deadline.

If you did not use TurboTax to file your return, but used an outside service, you need to be asking them. We have no idea how they handled it on their end and what their procedures are.
