The IRS audited my return and now says I owe 1,900 as opposed to the original $800. I need help because this isn’t right.

I believe they’re making me pay back the help with the ACA I got for 5 months. I just couldn’t afford it anymore. The wife went out of work, insurance was way too expensive at my place of work to afford it. I qualified for an exemption every other year.
