As with all new processes there are bound to be errors and this is one that TT is fixing. This was the first time ever that there were no bank processing fees to have the advance loan or the TT fees withheld from the federal refund. My best guess (since this processing bank does this for many tax services not just TT) is that the programming for the fees was not removed correctly or timely.
Was $78 for federal and state? Then there is an Extra $40 Refund Processing Service charge (45 in California) to have the fees deducted from your refund.
