Taxes filed in 2017. Taxes were rec'd 4/19/17 by IRS. Now the IRS can not provide ANY information. This is true on the website & by phone today. What must I do now?

If you are saying that the IRS has no record of your 2016 tax return then you should mail the tax return to them.  Print or copy your file from last year, then mail that return with the copy of your W2s and any other document where there is federal tax withholding (if you have one).

You can find the mailing address for your area here: Where to File Paper Returns With or Without a Payment

Be sure to sign your return and if you already received a refund from last year, or made a tax payment, (include a copy of the bank debit or cancelled check).  You can write a note to explain you had confirmation of receipt as noted in your question. If you filed with TurboTax, please use the information below to retrieve your tax file for 2016.
