The IRS will be sending IRS-issued checks to those customers. They are still working on an IRS portal to enter banking information if a customer wants to receive payment by direct deposit. https://www.sbtpg.com/coronavirus-stimulus-payment-info/

These links may help explain and guide you through the process.

https://turbotax.intuit.com/stimulus-check/ link to stimulus registration (SR).  It is very important that you uses this link that says register now if you don't need to file taxes this year.  Otherwise, you will not be able to E-file a zero return. It also has the calculator.

The IRS says it is working on developing a web-based system for people to give the government their direct-deposit information. Keep checking www.irs.gov/coronavirus for more details on this.

So to be clear, the stimulus money anticipated by many of us will NOT load onto our Turbo Tax prepaid Visa cards?  Is that correct?

Yes, at this time that is correct.

So how would I get my bank deposit details added for the refund?  Please advise.  Would really be helpful if we as users were given detailed responses.  Thank you.

Please note, neither the IRS or covid websites have a clearly defined "add bank details here" section.

If you have filed a 2019 tax return and need to change or add your direct deposit information, see this IRS website - https://www.irs.gov/newsroom/economic-impact-payments-what-you-need-to-know
The IRS does not have my direct deposit information. What can I do?
In the coming weeks, Treasury plans to develop a web-based portal for individuals to provide their banking information to the IRS online, so that individuals can receive payments immediately as opposed to checks in the mail.

The Treasury is expected to shortly announce an online portal where direct deposit information can be supplied to the IRS. Here is what you should do:

So there is presently no way to update our information according to what you sent.  What now?  Just check back for whenever that "portal" might become available?

I suggest you review the website if you only want to update your direct deposit information.i

I have reviewed the website numerous times.  As turbo tax did not notify card holders that the funds won't go on the cards we have.  I have been all over this website looking for the information of where to update direct deposit.  Have not found any information shy of "an online portal" is coming.  Do you have a better suggestion or link in mind?

Go to  http://www.irs.gov/newsroom/economic-impact-payments-what-you-need-to-know to see if they have set up the online portal. (This article will be updated with the web address once it’s available.)

As of now, NO. However, the IRS has promised to set up a portal where taxpayers can go to update their banking information but as of today, there is no word when this site will be up and running.

Well, you can file for 2019 now and supply your banking information even if you owe. Federal tax payments have also been deferred, interest and penalty free, until July 15. This deferment also applies to tax year 2020 estimated tax payments previously due on April, 15, 2020.

So here is my question, I submitted by return with my bank information , I did not have a turbotax card issued to me. I had the money direct deposited into my bank account. I did have fees taken out of my refund. Does the IRS have my direct deposit information or will I need to update it? I downloaded my return and the routing and account number is my banking information but I have heard that if you had fees taken out that you will either get a check or have to update your direct deposit information with the IRS. So if i have to update my direct deposit information does that mean TurboTax changes my routing and account number to there third party bank so fees can be taken out? I am looking for clarification into this no one seems to know the answer. If I had fees taken out but used my personal banking account for direct deposit do I need to update my information with the IRS?

If your tax return has your personal bank information that was used to either receive a direct deposit of your refund or was used to pay your tax due then the IRS has your bank information to use for your direct deposit of your stimulus check.

Why if my turbo tax card has a routing and account  number can I not receive stimulus on this I can receive other government funds on it @VictorW9 @LeonardS

Unfortunately we don't have a definitive answer.  We are still waiting for direct guidance from the IRS regarding updating or providing direct deposit information for the stimulus payments and how they will be distributed to these types of accounts. We will have more information once the government finalizes the details.

In the meantime, you can visit the following links for the most recent updates:

The turbol tax portal didn't give me the option of Entering My direct deposit information. Now that the IRS website is up I can't enter my direct deposit information there because I've already filed with you guys. But I can't amend my filing with you guys to get my direct deposit information in and now I'm gonna have to wait weeks longer because I went with you guys instead of just waiting for the iris site cause I didn't know was going to exist and basically you guys stink and I would never use your service ever again you're a bunch of charlatans and con men.
