Hello,
I'm a J-1 visa and I received a form 4549 to adjust my tax return, filled as nonresident alien.
Regardless from the adjustment, I figure out I could file the tax return as resident alien, being in US for the whole 2023, in order to use the standard deduction.
I should have 3 years to amend a tax return, but is it still true if I sign the 4549? How could proceed?
