Tax file form

I am on social security disability. I dont file for taxes. I was told I needed to file taxes, so I can get the virus stimulus  check. I filed through your free online service. It was filed on 1040 form. I have been told that was the wrong form. The 1040 form I printed also did  not allow me to fill out my direct deposit information.  What can I do to correct this. I need to get my direct deposit information to the irs. The irs new tool does  not allow people on SSI disability to use the irs. New tool. HELP!

If you don't file a tax return because your income is low and/or your only income is SSI or SSDI, you are still eligible for the COVID-19 stimulus payment. If you receive SSDI, you don't have to do anything; the government will send you your check automatically.
