submitted my taxes for 2020, but i have not seen the amount owed deduced from my account, and thought I saw a screen that said IRS was unable to deduct from my bank account information, how do I make sure that this goes through? how long until it come out

I submitted my state and Fed tax returns for 2020, I used a routing code and account number, typed in twice and it was correct, but still week later, have not seen the taxes payment come out of my bank account? TT status checker, says everything went through fine, but I thought a screen did come up and say that was a problem with payment and that I need to mail in, but now when I go in and check status, it says everything is done? So was there a problem and I need to mail in a check or what? I dont want IRS to send me late fees or whatever else saying I didnt pay? And I dont want to mail in a check and double pay them and then try to figure out how to get a refund?

 

So some help here please?

The direct debit will occur on or after the date you specified when you selected the direct debit option.   If the debit still has not taken place 10 days after your return was accepted, there is a phone number in the article below that you can call to follow-up with the IRS.
