@Wpabey  You need to go to the IRS site and check there.  You can find out here:  https://www.irs.gov/coronavirus-tax-relief-and-economic-impact-payments

The IRS rolled out the "Get My Payment" tool here. According to IRS.gov, you can use the "Get My Payment" application to:

  • Check your payment status
  • Confirm your payment type: direct deposit or check
  • Enter your bank account information for direct deposit if the IRS doesn't  have your direct deposit information and if they haven't sent your payment yet.
  • Receive paper check payments: If you moved since you last filed, let us know your new mailing address.

I was hoping someone would be able to help me. I have filed taxes current to 2018. I did have to file my federal taxes by mail in 2018 and i received my federal refund my actual check for 2018. when i enter the info the get my payment tool is requesting, the site says the info does not match. I am entering it just as it is on my return. It does say i am eligible for the stimulus payment and that they just need to verify the info, however for whatever reason the return is not matching. Does anyone have any idea of how I can ensure I get my payment?

According to IRS FAQs, here is what they have to say about error messages with the Get My Payment tool:

To ensure the information is entered correctly, please use the help tips provided when entering the information requested to verify your identity. If the information you enter does not match our records, you will receive an error message. Check the information requested to ensure you entered it accurately.

You may want to check your most recent tax return or consider if there is a different way to enter your street address (for example, 123 N Main St vs 123 North Main St).

If you receive an error when entering your Adjusted Gross Income (AGI), refund amount, or amount you owed, make sure you are entering the numbers exactly as they appear on your Form 1040 or tax transcript. If the numbers from your 2019 tax return are not accepted, try the numbers from your 2018 tax return instead.

If the information you enter does not match our records three times within 24 hours, you will be locked out of Get My Payment for 24 hours for security reasons. You will be able to access the application again after 24 hours. There is no need to contact the IRS.
