Stimulus check if taxes haven’t been received?

-Filed my taxes in January.

-Called in March and had to go to an office to prove My identity.

-Was told it could take up to 9 weeks.

-Still have not received taxes.

-Will I still be getting a corona virus stimulus check (and at the same time as everyone else) without the IRS having processed my return and proved my identity?

-Would much prefer a tax specialist to answer but if anyone is going through the same situation and knows, that’s fine too.

The IRS is looking at both 2018 and 2019 to determine the stimulus payment. Since you were able to go to the office and prove your identity, your return should be accepted and the paperwork and payment process slow. If your 2019 does not go through in a timely manner, they will look at your 2018.
