Status of Direct Deposit

I downloaded a pdf copy of my 1040 for the stimulus payment..I noticed that the boxes for Direct Deposit were each filled with an X , even though I had provided my account numbers for Direct Deposit.  Did the IRS receive my bank account numbers?...Is this just a security precaution?...

Your bank information is Xed out for confidentiality and security reasons. But the IRS has your bank information and will use it to direct deposit your stimulus payment.

The IRS began sending stimulus checks on Saturday, April 11th. While the IRS is working to get the stimulus checks deposited as quickly as possible, it may take months for some taxpayers to receive their stimulus checks. The IRS expects to start issuing paper checks the week of May 4. For updates please check the IRS website.
