No, the $1400 stimulus is not taxable by the IRS or the states so it would not cause an increase in state taxes owed.  You may want to review your tax return for possible errors in entering dollar amounts.

Only said filing accepted by fed and state all l have is ss 1550 a month and 113 a month pension. Figured I’d never have to pay taxes, but says I owe 671 to state. Where and how do I pay it. I live in PA

@Downhillpar7 I suspect you have made an error in your federal tax return, and the error flowed over to the state return.  PA does not tax Social Security or retirement income.   You need to check your returns again before you file.   Where did you enter the Social Security?   Where did you enter the pension?

Go to Federal> Wages & Income>>Retirement Plans and Social Security  (SSA1099 and 1099RRB) to enter your SSA1099.

To enter your retirement income, Go to  Federal> Wages and Income>Retirement Plans and Social Security>IRA  401 k) Pension Plan Withdrawals to enter your 1099R.
