Somehow my filing status got changed from HOH to single & now the IRS needs another 30-60 days to review my return. Should I just amend it to correct it or what?

wait. two returns being processed at the same time could create a mess and actually delay your refund if you are do one. 

generally, an amended return should not be filed until the previous return is fully processed.
