Fridays is not the deposit day. It's the day of the week IRS updates its computers with additional information to inform people on their accounts status and the treasury to mail out hard copy checks. The IRS is supposed to deposit tax refunds within 21 days of processing your tax return.
Last year mines was deposited on a Friday. I got my refund in 5 days. I filed on a Monday, and received my refund that following Friday it was in my checking account. Don't know what happened this time. Its been almost 15 days now and no deposit yet.????? Also done on Turbo Tax site.

Mine was also accepted on the 19th and nothing has changed it still says accepted last year i had my refund 7 days after i filed it was in my account im confused i thought i did something wrong but its good to know im not the only one
mine was accepted on jan 14th and now, 22 days later...still wondering.....
They finally updated the WMR page. Check to see if yours updated.
@jsamlarvick are you expecting a big refund? it seems like the more they owe you the longer they take,it took 5 weeks to get m refund last year.
Wmr told me mine was approved Saturday. Today Monday no dep.
Turbo tax still says accepted.
@naa4710 did the WMR give you a date it would be deposited by?
I heard this yr any day of the week. I've only had mine Monday Wednesday or Fridays be in my account.
This year has been a little hectic with all the identity theft precautions. Hopefully by the 10th you'll get your deposit. And please, please don't hold this against TurboTax. I've been with them for the last 10 years and have never had an issue. I wish you all the best.
I'm still at 29% anyone else's changed yet? I'm scheduled to receive my return tomorrow, but things don't look promising
Mine was estimated for today, and still nothing IRS website says return is processing.
I filed on febuary 4th was accepted on the 4th and still no refund!!!
@Chblaa5178 Even though the IRS issues 9 out of 10 tax refunds within 21 days, it's possible your return may require additional review and take longer to process.
The IRS started processing returns later than in prior years and as such has a backlog to work through. They also just recently started processing returns claiming EIC and/or ACTC.
During processing, the government reviews your refund. During the review process, they look for math errors on your return (extremely rare in TurboTax) and they also check if you owe back taxes, unpaid child support, or other debts.
If they need to make any corrections, they may offset (reduce) your refund. In some cases, the correction might even increase your refund.
Once that part's done, the government approves your refund, which means it's ready to be deposited or sent. At that point the IRS site will update with a direct deposit date.
Some 2019 federal refunds are delayed due to the PATH Act
