Should I wait for W2C form?

Hi all,

My company deducted federal income tax, state income tax, and Social Security taxes in 2024. When I informed them that I’m not subject to Social Security taxes, they reimbursed me for all the taxes. However, when I received my W-2 form, I noticed it shows amounts for federal and state income tax withheld. I’ve reached out to my employer, and they mentioned we need to request the W-2 from ADP, but I’m not sure how long it will take. With that in mind, should I go ahead and file my taxes, indicating that no tax was withheld (which would differ from the W-2 form), and pay the taxes? Or should I wait until the W-2C arrives?- Thank you!

You may not be subject to Social Security taxes but that does not mean you are exempt from federal and state income taxes.  yes wait for the W2C so your w-2 in TurboTax reflects the latest version.

Thank you @Mike9241 Yeah, I told them not to reimburse the Federal income tax and state income tax but they did reimburse them anyway.
