Should I have gotten my refund already? File April 15th. Turbo Tax is saying my estimated refund date was May 6th. Got a letter from the IRS to verify my ID did that 6/6

Got a letter stating I made account (I did) and nothing has changed.

It typically takes about nine weeks after you verify your identity with the IRS to receive your refund.  TurboTax has no control over how long it takes the IRS to process your tax return, nor does TT get any information after you file.  So TT has nothing to do with the request you got to verify your identity.   TT cannot tell you when you will receive your refund.  Only the IRS can tell you.

Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control. TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.

You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount  (line 20a of your Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:

Thank you! I did talk with a IRS rep and he said that TT should've reset my bar. Because TT would have my refund because I used them as my tax preparer not the IRS. Again I'm new to paying taxes, so I do not know what is right and lies.
