Should I file VA Form 763-S? There was no VA tax on W-2. The name showed up on state returns but no actual form to print. Please advise if filing is still necessary.

We are both MD residents.

No, you probably don't need it.  That form is for claiming mistaken Virginia withholdings, either because you live in a reciprocal state or you are a Military Spouse not considered a Virginia resident for tax purposes.  However, there's no reason to file that form if you had no VA tax withheld from your income.
