We cannot answer you since you have not told why you are thinking about amending. First---has your original return been fully processed? If not, then do NOT amend until the first one has been processed.
And.....why do you want to amend? What do you want to change/add/delete from the original return?
Excuse my very vague question. Here is a little more detail.
I was on unemployment in 2020 and sometimes they took taxes out some times they didn’t (the system is awful). However I filed in February and received my refund and since the new law was past after March and I filed, I was told the federal would automatically be changed if needed. I amended my state as per requested to by the state, by now I’m wondering if I should of amended the federal as well.

The IRS began to send out the additional refund checks for tax withheld from unemployment in May. The refunds are being sent out in batches—starting with the simplest returns first. If you are eligible for the extra refund for federal tax that was withheld from your unemployment the IRS will be sending you an additional refund sometime during the next several months. TurboTax cannot track or predict when it will be sent. The IRS has not provided a way for you to track it, so all you can do is wait for the refund to arrive.
