Should i add form 8915-E to my 2020 tax return? or do can i just include it in my 2023 tax return?

I did reply yes, when asked if i took out funds from my retirement funds, but was not offered this form.  Now I trying to figure out how to correct my return from 2020 or included in my 2023.

When you took a distribution back in 2020 did you elect to spread the tax out over 3 years?  Check your 2020 return.   Check 1040 lines 4 & 5 and see if only 1/3 was reported.

If you did not divide by 3.0 there is nothing to do for this tax year.

If you did, the current form  used for 2022 is Form 8915-F
