Should 1099misc include travel reimbursement as income?

I am a consultant and one of my clients included travel reimbursements as income on my 1099MISC. The others did not. Should 1099misc include travel reimbursement as income?

Thanks.

Yes - but remember you can then deduct your allowable travel expenses as a business expense.

I am in the same situation... so my question is, by my client including reimbursement on the 1099-MISC, how does this impact my tax burden since I have to now deduct those amounts as expenses?  Will I pay more in overall taxes, or is it the same as if it were not included?

Same question.  It's showing as income, when it isn't.  Deductions don't reduce your tax burden dollar for dollar.

That's true, if your employer reimbursement exceeds your allowable travel expense deductions.
