Return Accepted but no return after 40 days

I received my email confirmation 3/5/21 that my taxes were accepted but it’s been double the time expected and still nothing. I received an email today from TT stating I now have to pay the fees from the services used by 5/21/21 or my account will be charged? They’re supposed to come out of my taxes. I’ve called the IRS and all they stated is I’m lucky I’m receiving a return.. and they’re taking longer than usual due to “COVID”. Can someone give me an actual answer on here? I’m tired of getting the run around from everyone I call.

How do you justify debiting my account?

The provision is spelled out in the Pay With My Refund Agreement, which you agreed to when you opted to pay with your refund.

In addition, by clicking the "I Agree" button below, you electronically sign and authorize Intuit (through its third party processor) to debit the TurboTax Fees, Additional Products and Services Purchased and any applicable sales tax from your bank account number identified in the Agreement below, in the event that you do not receive a tax refund that is sufficient to pay for them.

Oh you mean the “fine print”? If I do not receive my refund you do not receive your payment. Simple as that. That account is only for my refund to be deposited into, not my bank account. There will be no funds there unless my refund gets deposited. For everyone’s sake hopefully the refund gets deposited by 5/21/21. Thanks for your help!

And what if 6 months goes by?  Or you never get a refund?   You used TT's services.
