Rejected Federal return caused rejection of state return

I e-filed both Fed and State returns.

The Federal return was rejected due to missing AGI for spouse, which I corrected. I did then get a message that my Fed return was accepted. No news on the State return. Will the state check with the Feds to see if my return is eventually accepted, or will the Feds notify the state that it's accepted?

Looked on the state dept of revenue, but nothing there to answer my question. Assuming that I just have to wait, or do I need to re-efile my state return?

Thanks for any help.

The state return can only be accepted after the federal return is accepted. It takes a bit longer for the state to accept a return. You may just need to wait a bit longer.
