Refund was accepted by the IRS on 2/9/2021. No current freeze codes on IRS site. No deposited refund yet. Has there been an additional delay in refunds being deposited?

We are test dummies for the IRS. I think that Turbo Tax is being paid to transmit our taxes earlier to them so they can hold them for a long period of time. Never again will I file with Turbo Tax.

Same...mine was expected on the. 12th. This year is following last year with my luck

A turbo tax representative responded to my post and said that the IRS pays them to give them our information early so that we can be test dummies. She said that it’s a bad idea to file early even though the incentives from turbo taxes main screen encourages you to file early.

I don’t get it, what is it that they’re holding them for? What are we exactly being “dummies” for? I’ve used TurboTax since 2013 and I have always filed very early. This is never been a problem before. Any insight would be very helpful. Needing this refund more so this year than any other year. Thanks everybody for your responses so far.

Interesting.  Turbo Tax told me to call the IRS on or after March 05 as they were definitely accepted 02/12.  The IRS rep was VERY rude and said it wasn't 21 days.  I told her it was and she said, well, we just posted that they were accepted from 02/12 - 02/20.  We didn't start processing any one until 02/21.  Call back once it has been 21 days from that date if you haven't received an update, and HUNG UP.  

 

I called Turbo Tax.  They replied that they have used the system to determine my return was accepted 02/12 and approved for refund 02/16.  But neither the IRS app or Website for WMR? are updating my information.  It changed today to an "Its being processed," message.  That's it.  I am reluctant to use Turbo Tax again.  But it is clear that they are not giving out refunds in the manner they state.
