Refund status. I chose direct deposit for my refund, but the bank closed my checking account due to lack of activity and they won't reopen. Will IRS mail me a check if the bank returns the deposit?

Yes.  They will mail a check to the address on your return.

Yes, if your bank account has been closed, the bank will reject the payment.  The IRS will mail you a paper check to the address on the tax return.  Obviously, this will delay your refurnd.
