Refund is approved but I requested direct deposit and the IRS is mailing a check instead? why?

Only the IRS can tell you why they are mailing a check instead of making a direct deposit.   TurboTax gets no information from the IRS after you file your tax return.   Watch your mailbox and be glad that your return has been processed so quickly and that your refund is on the way.
