Refund for a deceased taxpayer

My mother passed away in 2023.  I am filing her final tax return and she is getting a refund. I noticed that Turbo Tax (desktop version) does not appear to allow me to have this refund direct deposited into her account.  We still have her checking account open for final settlement including this tax refund.  Am I missing something or is there a requirement that this must be a check?  I have completed Form 1310 also for the refund.  Thank you

Form 1310 requires that you paper file along with papers confirming that you are your mother's appointed representative.  If your mother is not having a representative appointed the IRS still handles refunds to the deceased by issuing payment to 'The estate of..." in paper check form.

Sorry for your loss.

The check should be issued in your name, assuming your name is on the 1310.
