I filed my taxes on 1/16 & they were accepted by the IRS on 1/16. I kept checking my refund status and it had no info. It now shows it is approved and my refund should be in my bank on January 28th. I just thought I'd share this with all of you since some of you had the same issue checking on your refund status
how long did it set with processing bar before it gave you a date ?
My acceptance date was the 14th but was not approved until the 26th, with a DDD of the 30th, if that helps.
Same here! Refund approved and deposited to bank effective today 1/28.
Hi
How do you have a DD with EIC? The tax 152 has EIC refunds marked for late Feb.
Thank you for sharing. Something positive for a change! Love Turbo, don't you?
can't believe someone got a refund that fast, mine was accepted on 1/14 as well, but like everyone else, I am waiting for that 2nd bar. had to use my spouses social number to get the actual status (thanks to the tipster on here who gave that helpful hint). I didn't even think refunds would be issued to anyone , yesterday was day 1 of tax season officially
Just an update to give some people hope. Got my refund today. Was accepted 1/14 and approved on 1/26. No EIC
Mine was accepted on 1/14 and I am still having the issue with WMR when I try to check the status. I can get in with one SS but cant with the other. Still just in the accepted stage. NO EIC, simple return married filed joint with 2 dependent's, no itemizations, nothing fancy... hurry up and wait!
Perhaps they processed single-filers first, and joint filers will take longer. I am a single filer, no EIC, no dependents, standard deduction, so about as basic as you can get.
I do not think that theory is correct as I filed married and have one dependant and got my refund yesterday. Not sure there is any rhyme or reason to it.
You're probably right. It's probably just luck of the draw.
tax child refunds will not be issued until 27th of Feb said people could start checking on 23rd , If you got a DDD then your a lucky one
That is only if you have the ADDITIONAL child tax credit. Not regular child tax. I just had regular child tax, that is why I did not have a delay.
whats the difference from additional child tax credit and regular??
The official definition is : Additional Child Tax Credit. The Additional Child Tax Credit (ACTC) is a refundable credit that you may receive if your Child Tax Credit is greater than the total amount of income taxes you owe, as long as you had an earned income of at least $2,500. For 2018 returns, the ACTC is worth $1,400.
