Hopefully you MAILED in the amended return using some kind of tracking so you know it arrived because they did not open any mail for almost 3 months which means the normal processing time of 3-4 months is now going to be 4-6 months.  All you can do is check the IRS site weekly until you see any progress :

In normal times it takes up to 16 weeks or more to process an Amended 1040X return.  But these are not normal times.

They just started opening the mail in June that's been stacking up. So you have to keep waiting.
