Overstated state estimated taxes. State Caught it. File amended return?

I filed my fed and state (CA) returns. State flagged that I had a mistake in estimated tax payments.  In Turbo Tax I mistakenly included a refund-applied-to-estimated as a regular-estimated payment.  State properly reduced my refund.  The questions are:

- Do I file an amended state return?

- Does this affect my federal return?  Do I have to file an amended Fed return?

I presume that answer is NO for those questions.  Just looking for confirmation.

Thanks

No, you do not have to file an amended state or federal tax return.  The notice you received indicates the state has already located and fixed the error so no additional action is need on your part unless you feel the change was made in error.  This would only affect your federal return if you made the same error on the federal return as you did with the state.  If the answer is no, you do not need to take an further action.
