You can check your bank statements,; most banks have them online now.
The check that has Department of Treasury on the upper left-hand side of the check OR if you have your refund coming through the Refund Processing Service, see below.

Sorry if you answered this in your reply, I might have just missed the point, but is there a way to distinguish between federal and state? It didnt have anything on my Chase bank statement that would lead me either way.
Your state refund should have a clue as to what state it's from, like a two letter postal code or something? And the federal refund should have something like US Department of Treasury, or Fed Inc Tax or something.
ORIG CO NAME:TAX PRODUCTS PE3 CO ENTRY DESCR:SBTPG LLC SEC:PPD ORIG ID:(numbers here) - I dont see anything like that, if im lookin in the wrong place I apologize
That's your federal refund. SBTPG= Santa Barbara Tax Products Group
Thank you so much! Sorry for bombarding with questions, but is there a way to see what the total refund amount was, and then how much was deducted by turbotax/the processing service?
Yes, go to Tax Tools on the left, then Tools, then My Fees. You should see a detailed receipt.
So I dont have the desktop Turbo Tax, couldnt find where Tax Tools is anywhere on the online version. I did see though in the summary thats available to me that the total cost would be 88 dollars, which seemed to be both: 2017 TURBOTAX ONLINE DELUXE TAX YEAR 2017 PREP 2017 TURBOTAX ONLINE STATE UT TAX YEAR 2017 PREP. Would those both be taken out of my first refund? Or should it be seperate as well. Basically I just want to know if theres a way to get a breakdown of why I got the refund I did. I honestly did try to find that Tax Tools/My Fees thing online.
Tax Tools is on the left-hand side, like under Federal, State, Review, File,...I'll put a screenshot here, hold on...
This is what I see on my Dashboard: <a rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="https://imgur.com/a/0ZGPU">https://imgur.com/a/0ZGPU</a>
wow, and you can't get tools anywhere, no matter what you click?
Yeah, it only gives me the options for Tax Home / Previous Taxes
