"Notice of Change to your Individual Income Tax"

I received a letter from the state of Minnesota (filed state) that changed the amount of my refund but a significant amount. i would like to know if there is anything I can do to get the proper amount or if there was an issue with the filing or an issue with the states view of it.

TurboTax receives no information from your state after you file your tax return, so no one at TT knows why MN changed your refund.   The state will send a letter to explain the change ---usually those letters are sent a couple of weeks after you receive the changed/reduced refund.

The letter or a subsequent one should explain why the refund was adjusted. Only then can you understand the discrepancy.
