Never received my 2018 or 2017 returns

Good afternoon ,

Is there a reason why I haven’t received my returns for the last two years ?

Do you mean the Refunds?  Did your returns get filed and accepted?  Did you efile or mail them?

For 2018....

You can check your efile status here

https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/

When you efile you get back 2 emails.  The first email only confirms the transmission.  The second email says if the IRS (or state) Accepted or Rejected your efile.

When you log into your account you should also see the status and if it was Accepted or Rejected, Started, Printed, Ready to Mail, etc.  what does it say? If it says Ready to Mail that means you are suppose to print and mail your return to the IRS.

Same for 2017, what does it say when you log in?

Or did you use the Desktop program?

My comment was not needed, so removed. You were answering below at the same time.

If your returns were accepted then only the IRS can tell you where they are.  Maybe they kept the refunds for something you owed.  Or maybe they went to an account you forgot about.  Print out your returns and see the bank and routing number.   Maybe they couldn't deposit it and mailed you checks you missed.  Were you having the fees deducted from your refund?

Call the IRS at 1-800-829-1040.

For the 2018 return only, what is showing in this IRS tool (won't work for 2017):

https://www.irs.gov/Refunds

Use the Federal refund amount shown on your 2018 Federal Form 1040, Line 20a.

If the IRS accepted your return you have to ask them.  What does the IRS say?
