Need to change that my parents can claim me on 2017 taxes. I haven't efiled yet and I made less than $6,000 for the year. How do I change "no" to "yes"?

Good that you are changing this before filing. After filing, it is much more difficult.

The amount is not 6,000.  It is only $4,050.  If you are over 18 and not a full time student they can not claim you if you made over 4,050.  So how old are you and exactly how much income do you have?

Thank you VolvoGirl. I am 17 and made around $2,100. My mom found where to change that my parents can claim me and changed it. I can still file too, right?

Yes.  But if it's all on a W2 you don't have to file a return except to get back any withholding taken out (in W2 box 2).
